WELCOME to the Shiloh Presbyterian Church website. Whether you are a member or a visitor, you are welcome you to visit and/or worship with us and we pray that we can make it a time of renewal for you. At Shiloh, you are always welcome to dress as you are comfortable, and you are welcome to sit anywhere during worship, including at any of the tables in the back. There is coffee in the kitchen at the right rear area of the sanctuary. If you have young children with you, you may sit at the tables so that they can draw or color on the children’s bulletin during the service. We also have a nursery just across the hall from the sanctuary for your convenience. If you want to know more about Shiloh Presbyterian or are interested in joining, please speak to the pastor following any service or during any activity or telephone the church office during the week at (336) 524-9900.

WOMEN’S WORKSHOP
Come Sunday afternoon, Jan. 29, at 2:00PM for a planning and work session on projects for the year. We are looking forward to at least three major events in 2012 to benefit our benevolent causes. As a woman of Shiloh, you can add your voice, your creativity, and your effort to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God in this place.
Let’s make 2012 a really special year!

Shiloh is in the process of setting up a new software system that will allow us to communicate more clearly the monthly operations of the budget. Below is a listing of expense items grouped by category. We want the names of the items to be as clear as possible. Please review them and submit your recommen- dations to Carl or anyone on the session as soon as possible.

| CHURCH BULLETIN BLOOPERS
These sentences supposedly appeared in church bulletins or were announced in church services (Carl is doubtful because more than a few of them sound like they came from professional comedy writers). But anyway, here they are: The Fasting & Prayer Conference includes meals. Ladies, don’t forget the rummage sale. It’s a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands. Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our community. Smile at someone who is hard to love. Say “Hell” to someone who doesn’t care much about you. For those of you who have children and don’t know it, we have a nursery downstairs. Eight new choir robes are currently needed due to the addition of several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones. Scouts are saving aluminum cans, bottles and other items to be recycled. Proceeds will be used to cripple children. Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person you want remembered. The church will host an evening of fine dining, super entertainment and gracious hostility. Potluck supper Sunday at 5:00 PM — prayer and medication to follow. The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon. This evening at 7:00 p.m. there will be a hymn singing in the park across from the Church. Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin. The pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the Congregation would lend him their electric girdles for the pancake breakfast next Sunday. Low Self Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Please use the back door. Weight Watchers will meet at 7:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Please use large double door at the side entrance. Thanks to Judi Holsinger for passing these along for your annoyment.
