Food for Body and Spirit

Food for Body and Spirit will continue this Wednesday, October 29^th with dinner at 6:00, followed by a time of fellowship and an informative and interesting program.  This week we continue our exciting video series entitled Eclipsing Empire:  Paul, Rome, and the Kingdom of God.  Session 9 is entitled Theology.  Join us for this exciting new series on the life and ministry of the Apostle Paul.

September - November:  "Eclipsing the Empire" series, a study of Paul

December:  Advent season, a study of the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah

In this Stewardship Season, as we hear about the different ministries of our church and our responsibilities to uphold these and support them, it is also important to remember to keep up our current pledges.  As noted in last month’s newsletter, our giving is a little behind budgeted figures.  Fortunately, expenses were under budget as well, but please remember to keep your pledge up-to-date so that the work of the church can continue and flourish.

 Loyalty Sunday is November 9^th and the Pledge Cards have been mailed.  If you or your family did not receive one and would like to have one, please contact the church office. The phone number is 524-9900.

A Children’s Bulletin is now available each Sunday for all children present.  If you need one, then can be found on the table in the back, or ask an usher.

Gary Cole and Civil Defense, who shared their music with us on October 5^th, have provided CDs for sale.  The CD, entitled Reflections includes several of the songs they sang on the 5^th.  The CDs are $10.00 each, and are available in the church office.

The Congregational Care Committee is considering compiling a list of volunteers to provide transportation to our members that may need help in getting to doctor's appointments or just running errands.  If you are interested, please call the church office (524-9900).

Wednesday - BIBLE STUDY takes place at 10AM and is taught by our pastor.  This is lectionary based and lasts one hour.  Bring friends and neighbors.

Good News!  Choir is going real well.   We gather to rehearse on Sunday evenings at five in the choir room of the new church.  Carolyn Crean directs us.
